The purpose behind Paratha House was never just to sell food — it was to redefine what’s possible. It set out to break a stereotype: that housewives are limited to their homes, and that running a cloud kitchen is only for trained chefs or seasoned businessmen. Our founder — a passionate cook and a determined woman — believed that a home kitchen, when powered by heart and hygiene, could evolve into a successful cloud kitchen. Every great journey begins with a small step — mine began during one of the most uncertain times the world has ever seen.
The year was 2021. The country was under lockdown, and life, as we knew it, had come to a standstill. Businesses were closed, jobs were lost, and families across the nation were facing financial challenges. Our family was no different. The lockdown had hit us hard — emotionally and financially. We were struggling to make ends meet, and each day brought with it a new worry about how to sustain ourselves

As a housewife, I had always been dedicated to my family, my kitchen, and my home. But when the financial strain started affecting our lives deeply, I realized I had to step up. I wanted to become self-independent, not just for myself, but to support my family financially in every way I could.
It was during this time that my daughter became my guiding light. She introduced me to the concept of a cloud kitchen — a modern way of running a food business from home. I had never imagined that the meals I lovingly prepared for my family could reach so many others outside my home. Her words sparked something in me. She said, “Maa, people are missing the taste of home — and no one cooks like you.”
That one sentence changed everything.
We started small — just me, my kitchen, and a heart full of hope. I began by preparing simple, home-style comfort food like Paratha, Maggi, and Chai — dishes that brought warmth, nostalgia, and satisfaction to anyone who tasted them. With my daughter’s help in managing social media and delivery, slowly but surely, orders started coming in.
Every order felt like a new beginning. Every positive review reminded me that I was doing something meaningful. Our kitchen, once just a part of our home, became the heart of our business. It became a symbol of resilience, of how a housewife turned homemaker could also become an entrepreneur.
